![]() ![]() The ice block seen in the leveling up animation is identical to Icy Currant's ice block seen in Plant Food ability and dancing animation. The animation can be seen when he is ready to level up. Despite not having a Plant Food ability, he has an animation for being watered in the Zen Garden.Chilly Pepper's almanac entry is formatted like a quote, despite not being written as such.Coincidentally, they are both elemental derivatives of pre-existing plants.Zombies Adventures to be carried over into Plants vs. ![]() Chilly Pepper and Fire Peashooter are the only plants from Plants vs.This was a glitch fixed in 10.2.1 update. Chilly Pepper could not be boosted by Winter-mint despite being a part of his family. His animation when exploding somewhat resembles Ghost Pepper's.Please note that only official translations are used. In such situations, one can always place Chilly Pepper farther to the left or right, keeping the zombies out of the range of its attack whilst still getting its freeze in. However, due to the game's mechanics of spawning the next wave of zombies earlier if the current wave is defeated too quickly, it may be a good idea to hold off on damaging them too much, as to give your sun producers more time to produce sun, your instants more time to recharge, etc. It has the potential to output 2.4k damage per zombies in 30 seconds compared to most other instants' (I.E. Lastly, its damage is surprisingly high, due to its faster than average recharge for an instant plant allowing it to be placed rapidly. Another of these uses is to combo with Bowling Bulb, as Bowling Bulb will often struggle to clear out zombies in specifically the top and bottom lanes, meaning the lane focused nature of Chilly Pepper will be used to great effect. ![]() The diversion of zombies into specific lanes allows each use of Chilly Pepper to cover more zombies than it would without the lane diversion. ![]() One of these being in lane diversion strats with Garlic (and to a lesser extent, Sweet Potato and Hot Date). Speaking of its coverage, the lane-wide nature of its effects are noticeably reminiscent to Jalapeno's, meaning it will share some of its use cases. Being able to combo with Primal Peashooter is especially notable, as on top of Primal Pea's already phenomenal performance, the higher than average coverage of Chilly Pepper allows it to cover Primal Pea's relative weakness to swarms of zombies. The fact it gets its stalling capabilities via freeze rather than stun is also very important, as while stun will be canceled out by the knockback from plants like Primal Peashooter or Chard Guard, freeze has no such hindrance. This allows it to lock down lanes exceptionally well, making it a viable choice in many of the game's tougher challenges, including Penny's Pursuit and Endless Zones (except for Icebound Battleground, as it can't freeze anything there). The 13 second freeze duration compared to its 15 second recharge gives its freeze an uptime of roughly 86.67% (100%+ when reaching level 2+), one of the highest in the entire game. Mastery upgrade Ĭhilly Pepper can be devastating in the right hands. ^For the lane he is planted in and adjacent lanes respectively. When boosted by Winter-mint, Chilly Pepper will deal an additional 1800 (2200 starting at level 6) damage with his main attack, an additional 1800 damage with his radius attack. Compare him to Jalapeño and watch him EXPLODE!” ”Get up and freeze the day!! Chilly Pepper might look innocent and unassuming but deep down he's cold as ice. Chilly Pepper's explosion deals heavy damage to zombies and radius damage to tiles in his lane freezing 3 lanes in the aftermath. ![]()
